KARMA GETAWAYS

Travel Terms & Conditions

At Karma Getaways we look forward to the opportunity to act as your Getaway Agent for your travel needs.  These terms & conditions (the “Agreement”) describe what you are legally entitled to expect from us, in addition to your obligations as a customer.  The terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Karma Getaways. The term “you” and “your” refers to the customer visiting our website (including all parties traveling on the vacation with the customer), booking a reservation through us or otherwise using our services.

Use of the Site is governed by the following terms and conditions and all advertised prices are quoted in U.S. dollars.

Airfares and reservations are not guaranteed until payments are collected.  From the time of booking until the ticker is issued, sufficient funds must be available on the credit or debit card.  If there are problems processing the card, be it for lack of funds or restrictions, we will not guarantee the price quoted at the time of original booking or subsequent booking(s).

All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise quoted with the purchase of travel protection (additional cost may apply).

First and Last name of each traveler must be entered into the reservation exactly as it appears on your goverment issued identification, be it your passport, driver license or other acceptable forms of identification as may be required.

We may split your total charge into two parts, travel package and a non-refundable Karmagetaways.com booking fee.  Combined total amount will be the same as quoted and authorized by you at the time of booking.  Wherever applicable the booking fee will be included within the total quoted price.

Prices do not include airline baggage fees (unless otherwise stated).  Many airline vendors offer 1 free personal and carry-on bag, however this is not always guaranteed.  It is the responsibility of the traveler to research the cost of luggage for their airline reservation and pay for the bags at the airport during check-in or by prepaying online using the online check-in process specific to your airline using your reservation number.

Customers who purchase trip insurance are responsible to for contacting the assigned Insurance company directly for any clarifications on coverage as well as the filing of any claims.  Karma Getaways can not file a claim on your behalf because specific details of your trip and personal information must be provided to the Insurance company.

All traveler customers departing from the U.S. and traveling internationally will be required to obtain and carry necessary travel documents including but not limited to, passport, visa (if applicable), and advanced parole etc.  Travelers are responsible for the review of travel restrictions to determine and obtain all required travel documentation ahead of the originating travel date as may be necessary. Neither Karmagetaways.com nor its agents are responsible for providing answers to specific questions related to travel documentation requirements.

All cancellation and exchange requests must be initiated at least four (24) hours before scheduled departure. If allowed by the airline fare rules associated with the ticket(s) issued may be refunded or exchanged for the original purchase price less the applicable airline penalties, plus any fare difference between the original fare paid and the fare associated with the new ticket(s).  Karmagetaways.com has no control over airline penalties associated with refunds or exchanges.

A ticket loses all value if/when the passenger associated with the ticket during any part of the travel does not show up at the check-in counter or cancel the booking at least 2-4 hours before scheduled departure or as required by specific airline rules.

Customers desiring to make last minute changes (within four hours of scheduled departures) must contact the airline directly for assistance.

International travel often includes multiple airlines, each with an individual set of fare rules.  If more than one set of fare rules are associated with the total fare, the most restrictive rules will apply to the entire booking.

Our Agreement With You:

  1. We act as an intermediary or a “Travel agent” for products and services that are not directly supplied by us.  We are not a co-vender of such products and services. Upon your arrival to your vacation getaway you will be entering into a separate contract with such suppliers in connection with such products and services.  Each supplier has its own terms and conditions that are applicable to your particular arrangements in addition to our general terms and conditions, and you should make sure you understand them.

  2. PAYMENT PLAN/DEPOSITS- The option to place your purchase on a payment plan is available during checkout by choosing the Affirm option. Payment plans are not always offered but clients should be informed of this before a purchase is completed. If you decline adding travel insurance while on a payment plan and decide you no longer want the getaway then all monies paid by you will be lost and are NOT refundable.

  3. Documentation- Our general practice is to send all travel documents to our customers electronically whenever possible.  We reserve the right to charge an administration fee should you make a request for such documents to be mailed or printed as a hard copy.  The administration fee will include print out costs and the cost of postage.

  4. Cancellations/ Changes- Your contract with our suppliers may allow them to cancel or amend bookings.  If we are your getaway agent, we will ensure that you are promptly notified of any significant changes once we become aware of such change if there is time before your departure, but we accept no liability for any changes or costs incurred that may result. Cancellations may be made by the supplier for severe weather issues or the closing of their destination for whatever reason. We recommend always insuring your vacations especially if there is a flight include in your package. Subject to the supplier’s terms and conditions, you will have the choice of accepting the change of arrangements, accepting an offer of alternative travel arrangements if one is made available by the supplier, or canceling your booked arrangement and receiving any applicable refunds. We do not guarantee that any refunds will apply. Where a change requested by you to your travel arrangements is permitted and possible, our standard service fees will apply in addition to any additional supplier charges. Please note that all reservation changes are subject to availability and the terms and conditions of the product purchased.

  5. Refunds- Refunds will only be paid to you once we have received the funds back from the supplier. We are not responsible for a supplier’s failure to pay a refund. If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your travel insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim your cancellation charges through your insurer directly.

  6. Travel Documents- It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your travel documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies immediately. Your travel documents are valuable and should be safeguarded as if they were cash.  Prior to booking international travel, we recommend that you review any U.S. Government’s prohibitions.  By offering travel to any particular destination, we do not represent that travel in such destination is safe or without risk.

  7. Passport/Visa/Immigration Requirements- It is your responsibility to fulfill the passport, visa and other immigration requirements applicable to your itinerary.  You should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. We do not accept any responsibility in the case of you being unable to travel due to not complying with any such requirements.                                                                        When traveling domestically or internationally, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) advise that everyone carry at least two forms of acceptable identification in order to board a flight. Acceptable identification can be found at http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/acceptable-ids; examples are DHS-designated enhanced driver’s license, USA Passport, a foreign government passport. The name, date of birth and gender that appears on the identification card must exactly match the same such data that is listed on airline ticket(s) and booking records.  Karma Getaways strongly recommends that you take into account that certain countries will not admit a passenger, if their passport expires within six (6) months of the date of entry. Non-United States citizens may require additional documentation.  Children and infants also require all such travel documents. Minors traveling with one parent, and/or without both parents, may be stopped and not admitted, unless authenticated and verified consent forms are provided to the authorities; please see https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/268/kw/travel for forms. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency requires that for USA child groups under age 19 arriving by land or sea from contiguous territory and traveling with a school group, religious group, social or cultural organization, or sports team, may also present an original or copy of his or her birth certificate, a Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or a Naturalization Certificate. Parental or legal guardian consent must be provided to the supervising adult/Group Leader. You acknowledge any failure to strictly comply with these requirements may result in denied boarding or an undue delay at an airport security checkpoint causing Customer to miss flight(s), and subsequent scheduled travel bookings on cruises and tours. Check each supplier’s website to ensure you and all members in your travel group or party obtain and carry travel documentation required.

8. Insurance- Travel Insurance is a vital part of your arrangements. We strongly recommend that you choose the insurance option which comes at an additional fee.  If you choose to add insurance to your getaway, information regarding your policy number and phone contacts will be provided to you in your final booking documents.

9. You represent and warrant that (a) you are of sufficient age to use our services and website and can create binding legal obligations in connection with your use, (b) you are legally authorized to act on behalf of those you represent and accept these terms on conditions on their behalf, and (c) the information supplied by you or members of your group is true and correct. You are responsible for informing such other persons of all terms and conditions applicable to their travel arrangements. You understand that you are financially responsible for any use of our services or website by you and those using your name or account.

By continuing use of this website you agree to all of the above conditions and understand them fully. You agree that continued use will be at your own free will and understand that you are not required to book with Karma Getaways should you disagree with any terms listed above.
